Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most commonly asked questions my clients have before signing up for a package.

There are two main differences between Champagne Fitness and various other health clubs. The first, client availability guides the scheduling of sessions and how the package you sign up for is put to best use. The second, package pricing is slightly unique. Both are explained below thoughout the FAQ’s. Of course, if you would like to ask another question, please feel free to contact me directly.

1. Do you train “older” adults too or only young adults?
2. How are the sessions scheduled?
3. What is you cancellation policy for individual sessions? What if I am late?
4. If I want to sign up for the half-year package but can’t afford that amount right now, is there a type of payment plan?
5. If I sign up to train 3 days/week and come the end of the week I’ve only trained twice, do I have to get in my last session in before the week is up?
6. I want to sign up for the 12-week plan, but I will be gone for 2 weeks next month. Do I forfeit the two weeks that I will be gone?
7. I only have time to train 2 days a week, but you don’t have that as an option. Can we work something out?
8. I want to sign up for the group session, but my training partner only wants to train 3 days/week and I want to train 2 days/week. Can we work something out?
9. I want to sign up for the partner session, but I don’t have a partner to train with. Can you pair me up with someone I don’t know or do I have to find my own partner?
10. I want to sign up for private sessions, but my son/daughter wants to do a group session. Do I have to pay separately for both of us, or can I sign up for the 72 session package to get the reduced rates?
11. I really want to sign up for a long package but I’ve never even met you or seen the way you train. How can I be sure that I will like your facility and your training?
12. What happens if I and/or my partner can’t make a session at the last minute?
13. What is your refund policy?
14. What is your referral discount?

1. Do you train “older” adults too or only young adults?

In fact, most of my clients are adults (over 25) During the summer when school is out, most kids want to stay in shape for either sports or general fitness. Summer programs are far more filled up with youth than adults. During the school year, especially between the hours of 9:00am-2:00pm, many more time slots open to train adult clients. Especially if you are the parent of one of my clients, I will find a way to fit you in. The only way is to call for available times.

2. How are the sessions scheduled?

Because I prefer to schedule the sessions around your availability, I ask that you phone or text me 12 to 36 hours before your session takes place. Most of my clients have very sporadic schedules and won’t be sure until late night if they can train the following morning. Other clients are very organized with strict 9-5 work hours, therefore their sessions will be set up more in advance. Bottom line is that if you want to get a specific time, phone me as far in advance as possible, usually 36 hours is good enough. I only ask that if you make a session far in advance, please stick with it to avoid a “missed session” charge.

3. What is you cancellation policy for individual sessions? What if I am late?

If you simply don’t show up to a session, or cancel right before it takes place, you will be charged the full amount for that session. If you give me at least 8 hours notice, you will not be charged for that session. If late arrivals affect the following session, you will burden the additional costs of which their session will be reduced. To avoid additional charges on your sessions, please keep me updated by calling me either at the studio or on my cell phone. Understand that when cancellations and late arrivals occur, I try to be very fair when charging you any additional costs.

4. If I want to sign up for the half-year package but can’t afford that amount right now, is there a type of payment plan?

No. I can understand your hesitation to invest such a large sum of money, however, my refund policy is very fair in that you will be refunded your full payment if you decide to terminate your package deal mid way through. Please see my “refund policy” for more details.

5. If I sign up to train 3 days/week and come the end of the week I’ve only trained twice, do I have to get in my last session in before the week is up?

No. We all have weeks that are more hectic than others. I schedule the sessions based on your availability, so some weeks we may only get in 2 sessions, and other weeks train 4 days. This way, you are able to train when you feel like training, not having to worry about losing out on any pre-paid sessions. The packages are organized by weeks so that you can visualize and plan out the length of your package, but in the end, it’s all based on when your total number of sessions expire. However, I strongly recommend that no more than 3 days pass between sessions so that we can keep you on track.

6. I want to sign up for the 12-week plan, but I will be gone for 2 weeks next month. Do I forfeit the two weeks that I will be gone?

No. For the two weeks that you will be gone, your current package gets put on “hold” until you return and resume your training. Therefore, if you sign up for the 12 week package and miss 2 weeks in the middle due to sickness, vacation, training camp, etc. your package will extend into the 13th and 14th week, until your sessions are used up. Though the packages are based on number of weeks, the packages are expired when the sessions are all completed.

7. I only have time to train 2 days a week, but you don’t have that as an option. Can we work something out?

Yes. What you would do in this case is sign up for 3 days/week for the desired length and expect your sessions to extend into the following weeks. Therefore, if you want to workout 2 days/week for 4 weeks, then your best option is to sign up for the 3 week package 3 days/week. The same principal applies for those who want to train 4 days/week.

8. I want to sign up for the group session, but my training partner only wants to train 3 days/week and I want to train 2 days/week. Can we work something out?

Yes, however I ask that you please call me before you choose what package to sign up for. If your partner wants to sign up for less sessions that what you want, you will be charged a new, adjusted rate plan that I will present to you. This package will be a combination of private and group session rates. We will do the best to estimate how many sessions will be of which, but it is almost impossible to accurately predict the exact numbers before the sessions take place. I will keep track of all the sessions as they are used up to make sure that your package expires appropriately.

9. I want to sign up for the partner session, but I don’t have a partner to train with. Can you pair me up with someone I don’t know or do I have to find my own partner?

I strongly encourage you to find your own training partner. This way, you will be able to train with someone you know rather than showing up on a blind date every time you come to train. Some clients are known as “drifters” in that they don’t have a set partner, but are in a group session. These drifters will leave it up to me to pair them up with someone if I can. If I cannot, they will do a private session. I do have a separate pricing guide for these “drifters” that is in-between the private and group session rates.

10. I want to sign up for private sessions, but my son/daughter wants to do a group session. Do I have to pay separately for both of us, or can I sign up for the 72 session package to get the reduced rates?

Yes, you can sign up for the large package and both you and your son/daughter will be on the same payment plan. As your number of sessions expires, your sessions will be charged as a “full session” whereas your son/daughter will only be charged at ¾ session at the appropriate group rate. You will never loose out on any sessions or even be charged for a private session when training with a partner.

11. I really want to sign up for a long package but I’ve never even met you or seen the way you train. How can I be sure that I will like your facility and your training?

Before most clients sign up with me, I offer to let them visit a few sessions. If you have a friend that may be interested in turning your “one-on-one” into a “group” session, have him or her tag along to one of your sessions. However, please call and let me know in advance. I also will give complementary 20-minute consultations, allowing you to see and experience the new location in Corte Madera. Please call to set up your consultation.

12. What happens if I and/or my partner can’t make a session at the last minute?

For individual sessions, my cancellation policy is 8-hours in advance. If you are going to miss the 8-hour deadline, you will only forfeit a half session (“Missed Session”). However, if you already missed the deadline, realizing you will forfeit a half-session, please still call to let me know. If you don’t call at least 30 min before your scheduled session, it will be counted as a “no show” and you will forfeit the full session price. If your group partner cancels at the last second, no, you will not be charged for a private session.

13. What is your refund policy?

With my refund policy, you never have to worry about forfeiting money for sessions that you don’t complete. If you complete only 45 sessions of your half-year plan due to sickness/injury, family emergency, unsatisfaction, etc., you will only be charged for those 45 sessions. However, since you did not complete the full 24 weeks of training, you will be charged the 12-week package rate for the sessions completed as opposed to the half-year rate. The rest of the unused money will be returned to you immediately. In other words, you must complete the total length of your package to get the discounted rate of that longer package.

14. What is your referral discount?

The referral discount is a 10% discount off of your next training package when someone you referred has signed up for a package, regardless of the length or frequency. If three of your friends that you referred all sign up, then yes, you have 30% off your next package.
